Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about protecting your valuables.

How do I find my safe's model and serial number?

Your model and serial numbers are located on a small sticker on the outside of the safe, typically on the right-hand side or back. You can also find them inside the door on the hinge side or on the front of your owner's manual.

What is the difference between fire-rated and water-resistant safes?

Fire-rated safes are designed to keep internal temperatures below 350°F to protect paper documents for a specific duration. Water-resistant safes feature specialized gaskets that prevent water ingress during floods or fire suppression.

What should I do if my digital keypad code is not working?

First, replace the batteries with high-quality, brand-name alkaline batteries (check the expiration date). If the issue persists, ensure you are entering the factory code provided in your manual or contact our support team for a secondary override code.

How much does shipping cost for heavy safes?

We offer standard ground shipping and specialized white-glove delivery options. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of the unit and your delivery zip code. Many of our most popular models qualify for free standard shipping.

What is your return policy for SentrySafe products?

We offer a 30-day return window for items in their original packaging and condition. Please note that due to the weight of these products, return shipping fees may apply. Defective units are covered under our comprehensive limited warranty.

Can I store data media like USB drives or external hard drives in any safe?

Only safes specifically rated for 'Digital Media Protection' should be used for electronics. Standard fire-rated safes protect paper but may allow enough humidity and heat to damage sensitive electronic components.
